Objective:
Examine required level of tillage for different seeding rates across a latitudinal gradient to identify production practices that support sustainable carinata production across the southeastern U.S.

Approach:
Replicated field experiments will be conducted across multiple locations throughout Alabama. Each experiment will consist of three tillage treatments (conventional tillage (CT); non-inversion tillage (NI); no tillage (NT) designed to maintain various levels of surface residue. Carinata seeding rates (to be determined) will be seeded between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 each fall.
