Scientists and their teams investigate soil and irrigation water availability, water quality, water resource management, and methyl bromide alternatives in pre-plant soil fumigation.

 

  

Irrigation Water Management

?   Develop methods and practices to increase water use efficiency and improve productivity

?   Reduce negative environmental impacts of irrigated agriculture in semi-arid and arid areas  

Methyl Bromide Alternatives

?      Develop chemical and non-chemical methyl bromide alternatives to control plant parasitic nematodes, soil-borne  plant pathogens, and weeds

?       Reduce emissions of methyl bromide alternative soil fumigants
