Technical Abstract: The Southern Plains (SP) Long-term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) site is engaged in “watershed” research at three scales: small scale (1.5 ha), production scale (Avg = 6.5 ha), and medium scale (610 and 787 km2). Each of these watersheds will be described in terms of physical characteristics, instrumentation deployed, experimental design, their purpose, and, where appropriate, findings relative to the research goals of LTAR.
