Interpretive Summary: Next-generation DNA sequencing technology was used to sequence the transcriptome from the adult stage of the horn fly, Haematobia irritans. These samples include newly emerged unfed whole adult males and females, newly emerged unfed adult male horn fly survivors of 2 hour permethrin exposure, and newly emerged unfed adult male horn fly killed by exposure to 2 hour exposure to permethin + piperonyl butoxide. Each corresponding dataset of raw sequence reads has been deposited at NCBI under the BioProject accession number PRJNA429442 and and BioSample accession numbers SAMN08355023-SAMN08355026, respectively. The Short Read Archive (SRA) accession numbers are SRR6659624-SRR6659629. USDA is an equal opportunity employer.
