Nutrient uptake by cotton in relation to irrigation frequence [abstract]. National Cotton Council Beltwide Cotton Conference, January 5-7, 2015, San Antonio, Texas. p. 1. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: The present work was aimed at examining the relationship between cotton seed content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium irrigation frequency (i.e. interval of time between irrigation events). Fertilizer was applied at a constant rate across varying irrigation intervals. Irrigation volumes were equal over 7 d regardless of interval. It was hypothesized that N, P, and K would be greater in cottonseed irrigated less frequently. |
