Location: Foodborne Toxin Detection and Prevention Research
Project Number: 2030-42000-049-004-I
Project Type: Interagency Reimbursable Agreement
Start Date: Mar 11, 2015
End Date: Sep 30, 2019
Objective:
Develop a data base of well characterized hybridoma cell lines (obtained from DHS cooperators) producing monoclonal antibodies to bacterial toxins and biothreat agents.
Approach:
Hybridoma cell lines will be obtained from DHS (estimated 20 to 50). Each hybridoma will be cultured, a number of frozen ampules prepared and stored in liquid nitrogen. Media from each line will be collected and the antibody produced characterized as to isotope. Additionally, when antigen is available, antibody binding to immobilized antigen evaluated. Frozen stocks will be maintained and samples made available to other U.S. Government agencies (e.g., FDA, CDC) as requested by DHS.
