Objective:
Strengthen and enhance ongoing research for the Washington State University Cook Agronomy Farm Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) with emphasis on long-term assessment of soil health, cropping systems modeling, stakeholder survey development, nutrient cycling, crop performance, water and air quality.

Approach:
Field, laboratory and cropping systems modeling research on management impacts on soil health issues including C, N, P cycling and flows, soil acidification, crop performance including precision agriculture and nutrient use efficiency, soil chemical balances associated with agricultural inputs and losses via crop, water, soil and air. Stakeholder survey of research priorities consistent with national LTAR approach.
