Objective:
Overall objective of agreement is to monitor potential incursion of Ug99 and other virulent stem rust races into the United States through sentinel plots.

Approach:
1) Plant wheat, establish and maintain stem rust sentinel plots in Gilory, Davis and Tulelake California; 2) Observe and report stem rust development;and 3) collect stem rust samples for race analysis.
