Objective:
To characterize changes in weed management efficacy over time.
Approach:
For decades, the University of Illinois Herbicide Evaluation Program has quantified the effectiveness of various weed management systems in corn and soybean field trials. These data will serve as platform for testing hypotheses related to weed management efficacy in production agriculture, including changes in weed management outcomes. Datasets will be compiled and an assessment of the database made in order to characterize the size, scope, and parameters available. The team will test various hypotheses related to herbicide efficacy, management strategy, problem weed species, and incidence of herbicide resistance.
