ERRC conducts high-quality, applied and developmental research on a broad spectrum of commodities and challenges facing the American agriculture. Our major research and development thrusts include: • Advanced processing technologies for utilization of dairy and specialty crops by-products • Bioactive ingredients, functional foods, and the impact of diet on the gut microbiome and human health • Biofertilizer and agricultural practices for soil health and enhancing crop yield and nutrition • Biofuels and biobased products to expand markets for U.S. agricultural products • Development of methodologies to detect, characterize, quantify, and mitigate chemical and microbial contaminants affecting the food U.S. Food supply We strive to develop new knowledge and technologies, and we transfer our scientific discoveries to stakeholders and clients in both private and public sectors through strategic partnerships.
