Position Description

As a Hydrologist in our Unit, my primary role is to oversee management of the Edge-of-Field Network research sites in Northwest, Ohio.  My main management duties involve data collection and equipment installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting. I work closely with producers and land managers to ensure research and practice treatments are implemented accordingly. In addition to my field duties, I analyze and summarize data for research exploration and interpretation and participate in manuscript development. I also participate in the LTAR Drainage and Common Experiment Working Groups.
I am interested in how in-field and edge-of-field conservation practices affect nutrient loss from surface runoff and tile drainage. Most of my free time is spent outdoors with my wife and two boys.
