Location: Temperate Tree Fruit and Vegetable Research

Project Number: 2092-30400-002-002-S
Project Type: Non-Assistance Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Jun 1, 2026
End Date: Nov 30, 2027

Objective:
Collect migratory and colonizing green peach aphid (GPA) from potato fields in the Columbia Basin.

Approach:
Five commercial potato fields will be identified in Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant, and Walla Walla counties located in Washington State. During the summer green peach aphid (GPA) flight periods (June–September), we will monitor 3D-printed yellow psyllid traps containing vials of propylene glycol preservative at the edge of potato fields weekly to catch winged aphids.
