Objective:
The pacific coordinator will conduct interdisciplinary research related to weather-related disasters, nutrition, and agricultural practices. Develop tools and syntheses to build nutritional and disaster resilience.

Approach:
1. Investigate the effects of drought on the health, productivity, and resilience of agroforestry and forest ecosystems. 2. Assess the ecological and nutritional impacts of agroforestry and agricultural practices on key crops and cultivars, and tree species important in the Pacific region. 3. Co-explore strategies for integrating sustainable forestry and agroforestry systems to support biodiversity and food security. 4. Co-develop decision support tools and resources tailored to regional needs related to disaster preparedness.
