Objective:
The objective of this project is to establish master cell banks at the National Bio- and Agro-Defense facility for hybridomas producing veterinary immunological reagents and to perform intake quality control assays on cell lines comprising the bank.
Approach:
To establish this master cell bank the cooperator will recover and produce cell vials of hybridomas reactive to veterinary immunolgocal cell markers. Cells lines will be subjected to quality control analysis including testing for potential contaminants, such as mycoplasma, and sequencing of antibody variable domain sequences. Viable hybridoma cell lines which pass quality control analysis will be transported to the National Bio- and Agro-Defense facility to establish a master cell bank for veterinary immunological research.
