Objective:
To collaborate on development of state-and-transition models (STMs) and strategies for use of models in management decision-making, with a focus on ecosystems experiencing woody plant thickening. Our goal is to exchange ideas for capturing scientific knowledge on management effects in STMs and to disseminate that knowledge to managers, and ultimately, to improve STMs for use throughout the the Americas.

Approach:
ARS and cooperator will collaborate on information synthesis, workshop development, design and population of web-based STM development tools, and publications.
