Objective:
Deployment of sensor array to detect precursors of combustion in two commercial cottonseed storage facilities to help ginners and cottonseed storage facilities mitigate fires.

Approach:
The Cotton Production and Processing Research Unit will be working with the USDA-ARS National Peanut Lab to conduct research validating the information we obtained last year on the early detection and mitigation of fires in cottonseed and peanut storage facilities by installing the system we developed into two commercial storage facilities of peanuts and cottonseed.
