Interpretive Summary: As part of an EPA sponsored state of knowledge symposium on toxic cyanobacteria, six workgroups were established to assess published literature. The exposure assessment workgroup chapter includes a review of monitoring approaches, recommendations on development of commercially available standards, protocols for sampling and toxicity assessment, as well as worldwide toxin impacts.
