Pecan Grower. 21(4):18-21. Interpretive Summary: Mineral nutrition management of pecan orchards is especially difficult for potassium (K). This work provides insight into factors affecting tree K health and orchard profitability, and targets a K concentration of at least 1.5% dry weight as favoring high nutmeat yield and quality, and avoidance of many low K associated adverse side-effects. This information enables pecan farmers to improve K management of orchards. Technical Abstract: Mineral nutrition management of pecan orchards is especially difficult for potassium (K).
