Interpretive Summary: The USDA-ARS small fruit breeding program, run in collaboration with Oregon State University, has two primary objectives related to blueberry cultivar development: 1) to evaluate advanced selections and new cultivars from breeding programs around the world and 2) to run a small breeding program with the goal of developing either a very late ripening fresh market cultivar or a very small fruited cultivar suited for processing applications. This paper reports results in the progress towards both objectives with information on the better performing cultivars ('Chandler', 'Draper', 'Liberty', and 'Aurora') and selections (MSU 36, AR 439, ORUS4-2, ORUS 5-1,and ORUS 10-1).
