Technical Abstract: This progress report details accomplishments towards germplasm enhancement for Russian wheat aphid (RWA) resistance in barley for the year 2003. It summarizes research efforts in all areas of the program including prebreeding for adapted germplasm lines, genetic studies, field studies, and cooperative screening for other barley breeders.
