Research Project: EVALUATION OF CP CULTIVARS FOR YIELD PARAMETERS AND DISEASE SUSCEPTIBILITY IN COSTA RICA

Location: Sugarcane Production Research

Project Number: 6625-21000-003-24
Project Type: Trust

Start Date: Sep 01, 2012
End Date: Aug 31, 2017

Objective:
Develop sugarcane clones with high sucrose-yielding disease-resistance potential for evaluation of sugar production.

Approach:
Sugarcane seedlings will be produced from high sucrose-yielding disease-resistant parental clones with wide adaptation. Superior clones with high vigor, growth and freedom from diseases will be selected and established in yield trials to identify superior sucrose producing clones.
