Objective:
In a collaborative effort to evaluate the effects of a micronutrient supplement in children, we will provide consultation in the protocol development for the collection of blood from 300 children at baseline and 6 months post feeding and perform the assays of nutritional status biomarkers.

Approach:
We will analyze blood for zinc, B12, folate, retinol and serum transferrin receptors. If more serum is available, the following biomarkers will be performed in the following order: vitamin D, riboflavin and CRP. Documents Trust with Mathile Institute. Log 37849. Formerly 5306-51520-006-14T (12/09).
