Constructed Wetlands Process Farm Waste

Constructed wetlands have great potential for tapping and processing agricultural runoff. Guidelines for their use in treating animal waste, sediment, fertilizer, and pesticides are being developed and refined. Creating wetlands between the field-stream interface may partially restore the function of lost natural wetlands, resulting in healthier streams.
