Adding to the long list of SRRC awards, in February of 2012, Dr. Elaine Champagne (retired) received the Rice Technology Working Group Distinguished Service Award.  This award is given to individuals who have provided distinguished long-term service to the rice industry in areas of research, education, international agriculture, administration, and industrial rice technology. It is also extremely noteworthy that Dr. Gillian Eggleston won the prestigious ACS Wolfram award in March 2012.  This award was from the American Chemical Society, Division of Carbohydrate Chemistry, "The Delville Wolfman Award for distinguished service to the Division and to the Field of Carbohydrate Chemistry."  These very recent awards add to the long list of SRRC awards won in recent history which demonstrates the great stature of SRRC scientists and also the accomplishments of those SRRC staff involved in administration.
