Arlene Adviento-Borbe is a Research Agronomist with the Delta Water Management Research Unit located in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Her research focuses on holistic approach in improving crop agroecosystems with strong emphasis on preserving water quality, increasing agronomic and water use efficiencies, improving yield and grain quality, enhancing plant resilience and reducing global warming potentials in irrigated cropping systems.

She leads the studies on water quality and greenhouse gas emissions from irrigated crop ecosystems. She also co-investigates the study on water and heat resilience of rice.

For 25 years, Arlene has conducted wide range of research programs in many world regions that address sustainable development, crop productivity and climate variability.
