As administrative assistant, I work closely with the Research Leader (RL) and provide leadership in the management of the Unit's business functions. I plan, implement, direct, and evaluate all administrative operations which include budget, finance, human resources, safety, purchasing, contracting, facilities and property management. I establish and monitor budgets and financial operating plans that involve salaries, supplies, utilities, travel, service contracts, equipment, and research agreements. I maintain fiscal records and status of funds for the RL's approval. I also serve as Contracting Officer and do market research, prepare request for quotes, conduct site visits, and award contracts within my $10,000 Warrant limit.
