Interpretive Summary: Shenandoah, Susquehanna, and Rappahannock, 3 new varieties of pawpaw, a native North American tree with large yellow-green edible fruits, have recently been named. This article lists these new names with the Brooks and Olmo Register of new fruit and nut varieties. The article describes the background, pedigree and origin of each of the varieties. It also describes the fruit and the plant qualities of each. Descriptions of these three varieties have been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. plant patents are pending.

Technical Abstract: Asimina triloba L. cvs. Shenandoah, Susquehanna, and Rappahannock, 3 new cultivars of pawpaw, have recently been introduced in the nursery trade. This article registers the names with the Brooks and Olmo register of new fruit and nut varieties, and describes the background, pedigree, and origin of each. The fruit and plant qualities are also given. Descriptions of these three varieties have been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. plant patents are pending.
