Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Pesticides have been associated with environmental degradation and human illness by a significant proportion of the US population due to both real and perceived harm. Labels of most mosquito control adulticides restrict the environmental conditions within which ULV applications can be legally applied to minimize non-target impact and maximize efficacy. This talk will discuss how label language, the uncertainties of controlling where UL clouds disperse after release, complaints by citizens who desire no contact whatsoever with pesticides and environmental and health concerns affect mosquito control adulticiding.
