Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: A new program is introduced that uses SAS software to duplicate output of descriptive statistics from the Sarria Excel workbook for EPG waveform analysis. Not only are publishable means and standard errors or deviations output, the user also is guided through four relatively simple sub-programs for mixed-model analysis of variance. Subsequent pairwise comparisons of all data also are output for each of the 129 aphid response variables published by Sarria. Thus, the new SAS program guides users to a complete statistical analysis using a single software platform. A step-by-step summary is provided to calculate either sequential or conditional response variables. This SAS program should accelerate the process of analyzing repeated EPG experiments using large sample sizes.
