Interpretive Summary: Pecan scab is caused by the plant pathogenic fungus Fusicladium effusum and is the major disease of pecan in the southeastern U.S. and elsewhere in the world where pecan is cultivated. Severe epidemics can result in complete yield loss in susceptible cultivars.
