Technical Abstract: Sugarbeet germplasm lines C931, C941, CR11, and CZ25/2 were officially released on 02/28/05. These releases are broadly based, multigerm, self-fertile, random-mated populations that combine improved disease resistance in an advanced agronomic background. They will significantly increase the germplasm base of self-fertile, random-mated populations that are very useful in germplasm improvement and parental line developmental programs. All have resistance to rhizomania and varying levels of resistance to curly top, virus yellows, Erwinia soft rot, powdery mildew, Cercospora leaf spot, and other diseases.
