Technical Abstract: Options are described for disinfesting or disinfecting leaf surfaces in order to remove Puccinia jaceae from a containment greenhouse. It is important to verify that the pathogen, a candidate for biological control of yellow starthistle, is not contaminated with other, crop pathogens also under study in the same containment facility.
