Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Respiratory syncytial virus is an important agent in the production of respiratory disease in cattle, sheep and goats. An overview of the epidemiological features, clinical signs, and lesions associated with RSV infection as well as cultural and biological characteristics of the virus are presented. Current knowledge regarding the identify of protective antigens, protective immune response to infection and vaccine development and efficacy are reviewed.
