Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: As part of the Wheat Quality Council, twenty-seven hard red spring wheat experimental lines and the check cultivar Grandin were obtained from four growing locations in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota in 1997 and milled in the USDA/ARS Miag Pilot mill. Analysis performed were kernel, flour, and dough characteristics, milling value, and bread baking characteristics. Flour was shipped to eleven cooperators for bread baking analysis and the data was returned to the Wheat Quality Laboratory for compilation in the bulletin Hard Spring Wheat Technical Committee, 1997 Crop Report.
