Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: When managing for sustainable agricultural systems, producers face a range of interrelated factors, processes, and institutions. Their decision making process requires access to and analysis of information about economics; pests; environmental impacts; legislation; and soil, climate, and crop/ animal resources. GPFARM is a whole-farm decision support tool to bring site-specific information and analysis to farmers, ranchers, consultants, Extension, and SCS personnel involved in strategic management planning. Economic and environmental considerations are included along with soil-crop simulation, expert system techniques, and regional databases. The demo will present the current status of the PC-base, MS Windows package.
