Here we show that bovine recombinant TNF-a and purified C5a desArg, inflammatory agents commonly encountered at infection sites, were able to enhance the in vitro phagocytosis of Staphylococcus aureus by bovine neutrophils, and that the most efficient phagocytosis was obtained when the cytokine and the chemoattractant acted together. |
