Glycoproteins have been reported to be important in humoral and cell-mediated immune responses against herpes virus infection. Several glycoproteins of MDV have been identified and gB has been reported to be important for protective immunity. In addition to glycoproteins, other membrane proteins may also be important for immunity. We developed monoclonal antibodies specific for MDV membrane proteins in our attempt to identify proteins involved in immune responses. This paper describes the characterization of a monoclonal antibody against MDV membrane proteins. |
