Interpretive Summary: This is a description of the tall forb vegetation type. The type is found along the central and northern Rocky Mountains. It consists of beautiful flowering plants growing in parklike settings.

Technical Abstract: This paper provides a detailed listing of mesic plant species associated with the tall forb type. This type consists of tall luxuriant flowering plants. The type occurs at 6300 to 9900 feet elevation from the southern Wasatch range in Utah northward into Montana. It is found on all aspects and slope gradients where soils are deep and soil moisture is adequate for season-long growth.
