Interpretive Summary: Some of the names of passionflowers described by Carl Linnaeus have remained without designated type specimens since 1753. In this paper we discuss and establish types for those remaining species based on extensive analyses of the literature, thereby stabilizing the nomenclature for an important set of historical names.

Technical Abstract:  Between 1753 and 1771, Linnaeus described and named 30 species of passionflowers (Passiflora, Passifloraceae) without explicitly citing herbarium specimens that could serve as types for these species. Beginning in 1926 through 2024, 18 of the 30 Linnaean species names were typified and two were found to be illegitimate. Here, we designate nine lectotypes and one neotype for the remaining 10 untypified Linnaean names in Passiflora. Additionally, three epitypes are also designated.
