Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The bacterium Edwardsiella ictaluri causes disease in finfish and has been shown to infect multiple species. Eleven E. ictaluri genomes were sequenced, assembled, and annotated from a collection of strains isolated from several different finfish species. This will serve as a valuable resource to further comparative genomics studies into the pathogenicity and virulence of this bacteria. Data for all 11 isolates, including raw sequencing information, genome assembly, and gene annotations can be found under the BioProject accession #PRJNA1220665 available for public access at the NCBI.
