Technical Abstract: Research at the Food Science & Market Quality & Handling Research Unit describes the value-added utilization of unblanched high-oleic peanuts as a feed ingredient for the production of premium quality nutritionally enriched poultry products. Unblanched high-oleic peanuts in poultry rations enriches the eggs with unsaturated fats and beta carotene with reduced saturated fat. A press release by the Georgia Peanut Commission was made to announce an oral presentation by ARS scientist, Dr. Ondulla Toomer, on such topic at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA.
