Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The pecan nut casebearer is an annual pest of pecan. The first generation typically does most damage during the spring. Monitoring adult emergence during the spring is important to set a biofix from which treatment applications can be made to prevent larval damage to nutlets. Region-wide monitoring for spring emergence of adults allows growers to quickly obtain data for their area and prepare for timely treatment applications.
