Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Lipids that incorporate oxygen molecules into their structures have a wide array of important biological activities, and the determination of their concentrations in biological samples are an important area of biological research. To ensure the highest data quality and comparability of these measurements in the research community, a working group was established within the International Lipidomics Society (ILS). This group convened a two webinars attended by 87 individuals world wide, with feedback resulting in the current Focus article on best practices and reporting standards for oxylipin analyses. These recommendations are fully aligned with the ILS Minimal Reporting Checklist which should be used alongside this for data reporting.
