Near-full length vesicular stomatitis Indiana virus genome sequences representative of endemic strains circulating in Mexico. Microbiology Resource Announcements. 14(4). https://doi.org/10.1128/mra.01103-24. DOI: https://doi.org/10.1128/mra.01103-24 Interpretive Summary: In this report, we announce the availability at the GenBank database of two near-complete genome sequences of two vesicular stomatitis Indiana viruses (VSIV) circulating in Mexico. These sequences will contribute to increase the limited collection of VSIV strains at the GenBank database, promoting the development of future evolutionary analysis. Technical Abstract: Two near full-length sequences of vesicular stomatitis Indiana virus, representing the endemic VSIV lineages circulating in Mexico, isolated from cattle are reported. These sequences will contribute to get more insights into the genetic relationship between endemic viruses from Mexico and the emergent of epizootic lineages in the US. |
