Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: We newly report Udea profundalis (Crambidae: Spilomelinae) from Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, in the United States, based on voucher specimens located at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. We report larvae of U. profundalis feeding on Rudbeckia fulgida (Asteraceae) for the first time. Rudbeckia fulgida Aiton (Asteraceae) commonly known as Goldstrum, Orange coneflower, or Black-eyed Susan, is native to the eastern United States.
