As the Editor-in-Chief of JN for the past 10 y, I have striven to uphold the great tradition of excellence of the oldest journal in the world devoted to the publication of nutrition research. Indeed, the American Institute of Nutrition, the predecessor to the American Society for Nutritional Sciences and the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), was created in 1928 to house JN. Thus, JN can be viewed as the journal that launched a Society and truly deserves the honor of being the flagship journal of ASN Technical Abstract: The Journal of Nutrition (JN) has maintained a strong reputation for the publication of high-quality manuscripts in nutrition science throughout its long and prestigious history.
