Interpretive Summary: IS

Technical Abstract: We report Cacotherapia angulalis (Barnes and McDunnough) (Pyralidae) larvae feeding on Planococcus ficus Ben-Dov (Pseudococcidae) discovered in vineyards of Baja California for the first time in Mexico. Only two other species in Cacotherapia Dyar, C. unipuncta (Dyar) and C. nigrocinereella (Hulst), have been reported to feed on mealy bugs and scale insects, respectively, in the United States.
