Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Plant-based protein is currently an exciting and growing industry and has introduced an expanding market for dry pea growers. Numerous public and private research groups have accessed the USDA pea plant genetic resources to study pea seed protein and to develop new dry pea cultivars. Pea seed protein concentration phenotyping of the core collection in replicated field trials and the USDA working collection accessions using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) will be presented.
