Technical Abstract: In August 2019, the Executive Director of the National Aquaculture Association (NAA) asked David Straus to organize a special producer session for the Aquaculture America 2020 conference to get the experts together to give presentations about their research related to "Sterility in Aquaculture". The session was intended to provide various methodologies to induce sterility in aquatic species as functional sterility is an important management and production tool for aquaculture in many areas of the United States. The session focused on what works, doesn’t work and why. This mission was accomplished during the special session as you will read below.
