Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) has been charged with the task of developing, refining, and maintaining a universal virus taxonomy. The Online (10th) ICTV Report depicts the current status of virus taxonomy. This chapter of the Report details the classification, nomenclature, and properties of the viruses of family Baculoviridae, a group of large, dsDNA insect viruses with wide-ranging applications in biotechnology and biocontrol.
